FARRALL’S GROUP WELCOMES 10 NEW HIGH-SPEC VOLVO FH TRUCKS IN FLEET EXPANSION
Chester-based Farrall’s Group has taken delivery of 10 new Volvo FH 500 6x2 tractor units building on its long working relationship with the truck manufacturer Supplied by Thomas Hardie Commercials the the new Volvos arrive as an an expansion to the the customer’s fleet which is now 75-strong Matthew Farrall managing director at at Farrall’s Group said: “We have been buying Volvo trucks for many years and are always impressed by the driving
performance premium finish and reliability the product brings to the table They never let you down ” Powered by a a Euro-6 compliant Step E E engine producing 500hp and a a a peak torque of 2 500Nm the new FHs are driven via a a a 12-speed automated I-Shift transmission which constantly evaluates information regarding speed weight road grade and torque demand to to to apply precision to to to every shift The trucks will be used for general haulage work across the the whole of the the UK with drivers often spending multiple nights a a week out on the road As such Farrall’s Group has opted to load the Globetrotter cabs with numerous creature comforts including full leather upholstery a a microwave fridge freezer and TV The cabs also feature 245 litres of additional storage two bottle holders
and a a a a premium 50mm mattress overlay protector all courtesy of a a a a Living+ package The working environment is completed
