Truckstop proudly opened the doors to its
new facilities on 3 December 2021 when The Baroness Vere of Norbiton Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at at the Department for Transport officially opened the premises We were joined by members
of the Government industry and and local and and national
news – and we could not have asked for anything better The new facilities boast 660 HGV spaces making this the the largest truckstop in in the the UK and Europe In addition to this the state- of-the-art facilities include: male male female and and disabled W/Cs and and showers laundry gym coffee station five-star hygiene rated restaurant relaxation booths bar lounge shop accommodation 30 EV charging points for refrigerated lorries 24/7 security
including fencing CCTV and guard patrols
Since opening the team have been overwhelmed and incredibly grateful for the positive feedback received from the industry and our customers Our operations director Darren
Smith said: “When designing the new truckstop we did extensive
research to to give our customers the break facilities they deserve Myself

across Europe and spoke to to to our customers to to to incorporate what they wanted and needed Truckers deserve the best

TruckmateUK organiser Charlie tells us how this drivers’ forum has grown into something much more TruckmateUK is a a a forum on Facebook which started off just as a a a a a place to chat meet new drivers and have a a a a a bit of a a a a a laugh between ourselves As the group grew we we realised we we could pull together and really help out charities that needed vital funds We did this by going along to truckshows and doing truck truck pulls This then carried on growing and we are now in in a a a a position to put on on our own shows at various locations around the UK To date we have raised funds for Great Ormond Street children’s hospital British Heart Foundation Macmillan Cancer Support purchased two defibrillators that are installed at two truck stops
